Visual artist

Born in Helsinki 1996

Based in Southern Finland

Through my whole life I've been interested in creating, all the way from my childhood. I can't recall a specific moment when I knew I'd like to become an artist. It has just slowly happened. I grew up in Hyvinkää, where I also studied and got vocational upper secondary qualification in visual arts in 2015. Since then my personal career and the journey as a visual artist have proceeded in separate paths.

I've always been given a freedom of choice in what to believe in, religious wise. I've explored different theories and philosophies of life. I ended up in the conclusion that being the sceptic that I am, all I can do is believe in myself and the nature surrounding us. I also feel deep connection to my roots and the culture I've grown to be a part of. Briefly, that's where I get my inspiration for the artwork I make. Finnish culture, history, heritage and folklore are my interests and I love to learn and get inspired by those subjects.

The world in my art is gloomy, dark, filled with creatures and silent beauty of the northern nature. I mostly work with traditional mediums such as charcoal, soft pastels, watercolors, and ink, but I like to try new mediums and combine materials. My biggest wish is that some day I've got enough space for an atelier and I could get myself own etching equipment and a printing press.

Enough of the words, let the art speak for itself. I want to thank you for being interested in my work, and hope you enjoy this site and the artwork. I'm open for projects, creative collaborations and commissioned work, so feel free to contact me! I also appreciate any feedback.
